Under the CIP rules, whose identity must be verified when a new account is opened for a social club, bowling league, or similar group that is not a legal person?
With informal groups where there is no separate entity, the person whose identity must be verified is the individual who opens the account on behalf of the social club, bowling league, or similar group.
